I'm walking on sunshine...

(Please click on photos to enlarge them.)

I took the following photos in the beautiful city of Murcia...
It is an up and coming city...

Well, Ikea opened up there (;o) so this means it is on a par with Madrid, Barcelona and ...Newcastle!

The Cathedral.

Thank you for your patience... I took so many photos in Spain that I felt compelled to share them with you. The last post was mainly words to give you a break.
PRINT IT and read it on the loo. I won't be offended.

ANNOUNCEMENT:
I shall be absent for the next few days. It is due to a compulsory return pilgrimage to Carcassonne...

No, it is not what you think. It is not another holiday... Merely research into good food and wine. Some of us have to do it...

SEE YOU SOON....

Lovely photos. I particularly like the first one because if I lived there that's exactly what I would be doing every day - gazing out to sea.
Oh poor you having to go away again! ;) Send us a postcard!

I just love these beautiful buildings - you took more photos than I did! And going away again in the name of research....hmmm, is that just an excuse?! Have a good trip though.

What a beautiful city!

You may safely graze elsewhere, as long as the photos keep coming (if you'd ask me *g*).
Bon research! :-)))

DC, some of us have to do it. These are the things that make life worthwhile.

Akela, I shall bring back photos of food.
The first photo is a brass statue, did you notice?

Bella, your photos of Athens are great! Yes, that is my kind of research. Thanks.

It is a great city, Merisi. The tapas bars are yummy.
I shall graze a little and I'm sure my camera will come in useful.
Merci!

IKEA MAN!!!:) Mrs CR keeps hounding me to go since it opened up in Murcia. Looking at your pics we might even make a weekend of it.

Yes I did, it's fabulous! Obviously modelled on someone who loves to look out to sea.

Greener, your Majesty? I thought you had blue blood!
No, it's not compulsory but it does send the pulse racing...

CR, it is on the north side of Murcia, on the way to Alicante. Same stuff everywhere! A visit to the Cathedral is a must.

Yes, it is in Torrevieja. It is a bit sad, like someone who's lost a dear one at sea.

I love the architecture in Spain---I took many photos of the gorgeous windows and doors I saw in Sevilla and Granada when I went there in 2000.

Your pictures are beautiful! (And I love seeing travel photos, so thank you for sharing).

ahhh, carcassonne ... not been in years and years, but i loved the place. perpignan is my favourite to date, though.

enjoy - and i hope you get fat ;)

(no, i'm not jealous.)

Reading that the tapas are great too, that almost throws me over the edge (off center, whatever, you figure it out *g*). And now you are off for more. I think I need a Demel's breakfast tomorrow, to drawn my sorrow in something dark. ;-)

Hayden, I have a feeling I'll take photos of the same places as last year... Unless we get lost this time.

Welcome and thanks, Spider Girl.

Z, I had an invite to go Perpignan but may not make it.
My friend Didier comes from Carca and he knows the owners of all the good restaurants there, so I am sure I shall get FAT..TER...

No, I did not have any tea in the end. But, that will be my next pilgrimage, to find out what's so special about that ellusive teteria's tea.

Sorry, Merisi... Didn't mean to push you over the edge.
This time I am off to savour some beautiful foie gras, cassoulet and Blanquette de Limoux (Gorgeous sparkling wine!) plus of course lots of fish...
Enjoy your coffee.... ;o)

What are you trying to do, upstage my photos of Spain? You're not bad with a camera, oh multitalented one. You seem to have a thing for windows and doors. My photo fetish is palm trees and shop windows!
