A series of anecdotes with or without any connection to the running of a restaurant.

New blog...

Sorry about the absence. I have been working on a new project.

Two and a half years after getting into blogging I have come up with the idea of starting a blog for my restaurants.

Before I started blogging, I had a "News" page in our restaurant's website where I posted anecdotes about restaurant life. It provided light entertainment for our customers and helped create a bond with them. And it gave me an outlet to my busy head, a way to relax after a busy shift.

will remain my personal blog although posts may become scarce.

The new one however will be useful to our customers as it will keep them informed of what is going on with the restaurants, staff, etc...
I am also hoping to develop a decent recipe section.

Here is the link to Cloud Cookeryland.

I will leave it open for a little while for those Blogfriends who want to check the new blog out.

Congrats, Cream, I wish you tons of success, more and more.

Will we be allowed to talk to you there, by the way? We promise we will behave nicely, we won't be loud and carry on with drunken debauchery and shame you in front of the lovely people, we promise.

Hahaha! I think you're well behaved... most of the time, Gigi.
So, yes you're welcome to comment on the restaurant blog.
I'm sure you'll be having nothing stronger than tea, anyway.

Zooms, maybe not that scarce, eh...

Bella, they do in our visitors books but I hope they start using the blog.

Pi, I haven't left any comments on your blog but have been reading it regularly.

Your new blog looks lovely - I just had a quick look.

I hope your posts here don't become too scarce :(

Will you still be visiting?

Thanks the new blog.

(Sorry that was me upstairs, buggered it up). Great idea, the new blog looks spiffy (the HUFC link is inspired). I think you should have a photo of yourself with the team on it. Don't tell me you got the idea from Daphne's Dinners! Will be interested to see if bookings soar after it goes online.

Thanks, Daphnee.
Guess what our mascot is... Yes, a Monkey because of the Monkey Hangers legend!
Anything that gets the restaurants noticed is a great idea. I think our customers need a couple of drinks before they start commenting. Sorry to admit it but I wish I could say you gave me the idea.

Happy to see you again, Christine and thank you very much.
Happy New Year to you and yours.

Superb blog cream, my son has now brought a bar and coffee shop of his own (very much under construction). He will have a manager to run it, whilst he continues his career with designing. Therefore mummy (me) is busy starting a blog ready for when the place is completed (I will use a spell-check), it won't be a patch on yours, you have so much history to post about, very heartwarming to read. Please don't be to long away from Screamers.

Good luck to your son with his Cafe-Bar.
I think that blogs to run alongside the business are a great ideas if one has the time. They do show customers the ins-and-out of the business and that creates a bit of a bond.
I'm sure it'll be beautiful if you are in charge.
I'll try to post on Screamers but it doesn't come easy.

Cream,
I was so delighted to "see" you in Vienna tonight (wanna dance? *ggg*). I have been rarely around in Bloglandia this month, simply too little time left.
Among the good things, I got a new camera, with a couple more buttons, and I feel like a beginner. I am a learner by doing, and little chance to do so right now.
I will be back, to visit your new adventure for which I send you my best wishes!

Yep, Merisi, a quick Salsa!
So, what's the new camera, then?
Love you to splash one of your Strudels on my new adventure...
