Dawn to dusk...

Google's Picasa though not as professional as photoshop or other editing software is quite fun to quickly edit and play about with photos.

So I chose one of the photos I took on Sunday and played about with it to create a dawn to dusk feel.
I'm sure the old Masters will be spinning in their graves...

My best time of day is dusk.
Sunsets seem to stir up melancholy and memories.
The long walks along various harbours around the Med and Africa, a cool drink in sleepy cafés, getting ready to hit the town after a long lunch and a short siesta ...

What is your best time of the day and why?

cream, I LOVE these. So moody, and the boats so stubbornly THERE amidst the changes.

my best time is early morning. since I was very young I've been up early, filled with energy and ready to go. these days it's my best time in the kitchen, I can accomplish miracles before noon - but after - well, I slow down abruptly.

I had to learn that it makes late risers quite crazy if I burble on happily in the morning.

a roommate once said angrily about a third roommate "WHY must she say good morning to me every day! Can't she just leave me alone until a decent 10 or 11:00 AM?" I was stunned. My friend insisted that she didn't feel that way when I chatted in the AM, but I took it as advice to procede more carefully.

Superb pics the masters would be proud'
I enjoy dusk, but mornings mean a new day a fresh start. I'm at my best after a night of rest, and look forward to what the day will bring. Yesterday was a memory and tomorrow who knows......

That's really clever Cream. I love the one where the boats are blue.

Best time of day for me is 3 p.m. when I'm leaving work!

Van Gogh might've experimented too, if he'd lived in these times. I like the surrealist feel, hey, them ducks look like fish later on in them pics.

My best time of day...well, I tend to get more done in the mornings, for some reason I wake at 5 a.m. By 8 p.m. I'm nodding off.

I am drawn to the second picture, partly because I feel that under certain light conditions one could get an image like this, without maniulating the photo. And then I might be wrong, but I still would like your image.

My best time of day? Even though I do get up early, I am only a "trained" early bird. I work efficiently in the mornings, but I come really alive after 4pm. Around the Mediterranean there's no better time than late afternoon into the evening and toward midnight. As students in Rome we would sit around Piazza Cavour and wait til the croissant bakery had finished the first batch. We'd buy a wholesale sized box and eat them on the Piazza, before finally heading home. ;-)
