Smother me...
Tomorrow is Mothering Sunday.
One of the three busiest dates in our restaurants calendar.
Can you guess the other two?
UPDATE:
Yep, the other two busiest dates, as most of you have guessed, are Valentine's Day and New Year's Eve...
The latter slowed down a bit after 2000 when some restaurants and taxi firms charged over the odds. I closed my restaurants on that occasion and went to a great Millenium party.
Valentine's Day is still THE most popular date of the year.

My guess is Valentines day, though that would be just the evening and not the lunch session, and New Years Eve, again just the evening. Mothers Day, I guess is just the lunch?
Enjoy!
Is Easter one of them?
Dizzy, you have inside knowledge, girl!
Lee, Easter might come in 4th place, come to think of it.
I'd guess new year's eve and valentines' day. And I'd guess they are hardest work, lowest-tip days, too, because so many folks are out that only go out for 'events.' Fussy and cheap, quick to be affronted by anything they perceive as an error.
try not to work too hard tomorrow, cream... good luck!
I've 11 years experience in the food and beverage business. If the U.K is anything like Canada, then the top three are Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, and New Year's Eve.
Visit you local restaurant day?
The blogosphere is doing nothing but making me hungry today! :p
Two? I thought it happens every time I refuse to cook. ;-)
Valentines and New Years? I know that they are the most popular wedding days. Your posts alays make me hungry!
