Mirror, mirror...

While I was drawing this, I couldn't help wondering what attracts us to or makes us attract other people. Then this morning a good friend of mine sent me this link The shiny spot of your nose

...When you think about other people and what they think of you, do you understand that what they think of you has very little to do with what you are? It has mostly to do with the habits of thought that they have developed. It has more to do with them as thinkers than it does with you as the subject of their thought. If nothing is more important to you than that you feel good, you can form a fantasy about someone who is in your life and they will begin to modify to meet your fantasy, because Law of Attraction is a very powerful thing. Shyha, go grab yourself a coffee but don't think too much!

And great blog you have, ITLT.
Thanks for the link and I did enjoy the quote very much.

Mary, I doubt whether there is any characteristic of yours that you or anyone would despise! ;o)

Cream - I love your cartoon! I've been most aware of how different people interpret me when they've said something that completely contradicts what I've just said - so does that mean that its my own contradictory nature at word her... oh yeah... that could be...

And often, even what people think of themselves doesn't have very much to do with who they are.

You said it mush, don't think too much. If you think about what love is, and what it isn't, you come to the conclusion that it doesn't actually exist at all, it's just an excuse for doing and saying the stupidest things.

If you've got some available, lie back and enjoy it. If you haven't, lie back and think of George Clooney. (Or Angelina Jolie, or whomever).

Love is like comedy. If you try to analyse why it works, it doesn't. Some people are in love with me because of my hat.

Once again, Caro, you've lost me! :o)

Paul, you are definitely right there. So, what's the bloody answer, then?

Come on, Daphnee! I know you've got a lot under that hat but I have a feeling people love you because you're very fruity!

yes, very true.

I had a job interview once and one of the three stern-looking ladies asked me: can you tell me in 3 words how other people see you? I replied: you will have to ask them, I can only speak for myself.

And obviously, Edvard, you never got the job because they didn't understand you... Am I right?

I think we [generally speaking] are attracted to others who reflect who we are...or we're attracted to others who have traits we want, admire. Attraction does have something to do with what the other is...AND with who we are.

I'm going to get me a red burka :-D

Actually, they did offer me the job, but only four months later when I already had found a much better one!
