Beam me up, Scotty!

Last year's post on Christmas Lights seems light years away. Honestly!

I have travelled in time and space this past year.
Back,
forth,
sideways,
up,
down...

And I have landed in a place, which despite appearing familiar, feels like a distant planet...
My spaceship had run out of steam.
But I am now building up a reserve of fuel that will fly me to the moon in the New Year.

Well, first of all to Carcassonne in January with our Didier!
£16.95 return with Ryan Air, no joke! Can you believe it? The price of two good pizzas!

After that, the world will be my oyster, my foie gras, my champagne...

Any plans for Christmas and the New Year?

What?!! We get charged for just looking at planes up in the sky!!
Nah...I can't believe it.
My year has been the weirdest ever Cream... but very interesting.
(And I've had some weird years)
I'm very excited about the future, things are going unbelievably well for me and it looks like the fun is just beginning. No big plans, but one never knows what is just around the corner.

It's the truth, L! I don't know how they do it! Each flight was ONE penny! The rest were taxes.
I am really happy that, even after a weird year, you are excited about the future.
Personally, I am in a thick fog at the moment.
But as you rightly say, one never knows what is just around the corner.

Ah Cream, I have been catching up, hope you are out of your gloom, my bro tried to end it all last weekend, bad depression for a long time, dont think the uppers were fairly distributed when we all arrived, I got his share. BUT it has done him good, he was unsuccessful thank goodnes. I couldnt blog about it, he didnt want me to. He has sorted out a lot of stuff, so it can be a positave thing, depression, not suiside. Glad you are feeling happier, have a great trip in Jan, lots of sooper sex. I have always thought food and sex were very similar, good food, worth its weight in gold, bad food, dont bother eating, it just makes you feel bad and fat. Same goes for sex. In fact I used to have huge voluptious naked people painted on my kitchen cupboards, a kind of reminder about the good things in life. Bye xx

That's ridiculously cheap! Wow I hope you have a good time there.

We're planning a quiet Christmas - I wonder if that's possible...

Sarah, I am glad your brother didn't succeed. Christmas is traumatic enough without the added pressure.
I have seen some of your nudes and yes they all look like a juicy steak to me!:o)

Hola, Maria! You too!

Caro, I intend to.
No, I don't think anyone can have a quiet Christmas unless one is stranded on a desert island...

Well, I'll be here, writing away, sewing away, planning away. I have BIG BIG plans and even BIGGER dreams.

Oh boy, I remember that Christmas lights post. It does seem light years away last year with Dcver, Anoop, me, you, Ale, Piu, Viking, Annie...

Hope the fog clears and you have lots of fun, Cream.

Well, Cherrybabe, they must know that I'm a touch further away from East Midlands than you, that's why it's cheaper for me.
It will be in January but I wish I were flying right now.

Gigi, I hope your plans work out wonderfully! Yes, it seems like a lifetime, just twelve months ago. I miss DcVer.
Still foggy...Grrr.....

Lee, you must leave a bit room for fun, woman!
It is a good idea to remain open over the holidays. My restaurants have always closed Xmas Eve, Xmas Day and Boxing Day...
This year, the way I feel, I wish were open.
I've just got used to Beta Blogger!

Reading the comments on that post from last year was quite, er, illuminating. This year I'm locking myself in with a side of smoked salmon and a few bottles of Chateauneuf du Pape and thank heaven for satellite TV and an oven that doesn't work. Foggy here too. But it always lifts, eventually.

Yep, Daphnée, even to me it is quite illuminating!
It feels like another life.
Can't wait for the fog to lift, honestly.
I'd love to lock myself somewhere dark until the whole thing is over but when the aroma of roast turkey drifts into my office I remember that I have to knuckle down for a couple more weeks, yet!
Smoked salmon and C.du P.... Definitely a Merry Christmas!

That's amazing pricing! No big plans for the holidays. Christmas Eve with my family, Day with husband's family, and New Years is up in the air.

As long as you enjoy it, ML that's the main thing.
New Year's Eve, I'll be floating between our restaurants and then settling down for a drink with friends.

Well for me it's been one of my best years but unfortunately there is a dark cloud hanging over it (and me) with Michael in Iraq.
Anyway I wish I were spending the holiday traveling but I will hosting family which can be fun or not. Most unpredictable.

Yes, Mary, I really feel for you! Bush and the rest have lost their way...
I hope Michael comes back safe and sound.
I am really happy your year has been a good one.
As you ARE a great host from past photos, I am sure it WILL be fun!

Boy that sounds like a wonderful trip! I had to look it up because I had never heard of the place and I think I would love to see this place! What makes you choose this place Cream?

My friend Didier a chef in our town comes from there. It's a beautiful part of France. And whenever we go, we have a great time. Food, wine, friends! That's all we need.
