I saw red...

While I do not condone his actions I'd love to find out what Marco Materazzi said to Zizou to make him react the way he did!

It is a shame that his career ended on such a low point. Fiery Algerian!
I hope he will be remembered more for his great skills than the stupid headbutting incident.

The World Cup has ended. I have seen enough football to last me four years... South Africa 2010!

Cream! What a scream! Well less of a scream more of an OMG! Just read about the diver - can that really be true? Am I being gullible? If it is, it is the most tragic thing!

Zizou! Great picture. He is rather lovely looking, but VERY badly behaved.

Poor old Z,
Lost his head,
He used it rather badly!
And now he's gone,
And Italy won,
His career is over, sadly!

I'm curious what was said too... I also wonder how many votes were made before and after the headbutt. Would he still have won the golden ball if everyone waited for the end of the game?

I'm very curious about both things (what Materazzi said and the Golden Ball question)

whatever was said, zidane lost it, couldn't handle it.... and thats a no no- football is not only about fancy dancing on the pitch- you must have a strong head! (and hitting someone with it is not the way to demonstrate that)

I didn't know Zidane was Algerian. He's very cute for a football nonce.

He's gorgeous when he's angry isn't he? That's Zidane, not you, Cream! (Although you're quite nice but you know I have a soft spot for Kabyles).

That was a sad thing to happen, Cream...even I, a non-football fan wrote about it because it was all folks here were discussing.

I've never really been interested in soccer (football). I watched the game and my god, they're beautiful men.
