Wet weekend...

It has been a very wet weekend!
My football team was relegated on Saturday.
No, I didn't cry and it didn't rain!
It was a Rosé weekend!

My friend, the French chef invited me on Sunday. I took a bottle of chilled Rosé round.
He said that I shouldn't have bothered and showed me the latest wine consignement he'd received from France! A bloody cellarful!
While watching Schumacker win the Grand Pricks played some old French 45s on his newly acquired turntable, we made a dent in his wine stock!
Camembert, Chorizo, tomatoes, basil, baguettes...

Monday, we celebrated someone's birthday at a gastro pub with yet more Rosé (Pinot Grigio Rosé!) and lots of bubbly!

I love Rosé because it conjures up sunny days with friends in Carcassonne or Barcelona.

This morning I went to the gym and this is the view from my machine! I took it on my mobile phone.

Another sunny day in paradise! Posted by Picasa

Ah good you're back.

Preston didn't make it through to the play-off final - beaten by Leeds last night. Pah!

Hi, Kitty, I never went anywhere but I travelled a million miles over the weekend!
You like your football, too?

Lettuce, I think I drank enough Rosé to abstain for the rest of the Summer! But who's counting? Don't wait for the weekend...

Oh Cream....drool......drool....

Can I come and live with you please? I love your life. More to the point 'I love your eating and drinking habits'

The thought of drinking rose in Barcelona or Carcassone, made me go all weird.

Rambler, you're welcome! But, I must warn you, I'm drinking a lot more than I'm eating at the moment...

Another dig at my age, eh!
Careful, Uncle Cream would drink you under the table, ma petite Spring Chick!

Val, the view from the gym spurs you on to go faster and get out there to enjoy it.
The weekend was famously amazing!

Wow you've found a gym with a view - too often they seem to be totally enclosed and with too many mirrors for comfort.

The gym I used to go to looked over the dock at Hull. It was fantastic when the tall ships came in.

White Zinfandel is my sip of summer - a picnic's never complete without it.

Caro, it is amazing on a sunny day!

Tat, you're a girl after my own heart! Rosé overlooking the Pyrenees, eh! What a life! I once dropped my camera in Lake Ullswater...

L, it is supposed an English port during the Napoleonic wars. I will add a view from another window...

Ale, Henry doesn't like Rosé...

DC, my tummy is galvanised:)

Oooooh, Wendz, it is a Napoleonic era after all! Mwah!

Trac, I tried the Rosé all the way around Carcassonne and I can only agree!

Cherrybabe, I know exactly where you mean! Try a Spanish (Sorry DC)Chivite Rosé ice cold! Amazing!

so jealous of your good rose. The US produces good wines but we neither produce nor import good Roses. sad sad.

Roses here are always too sweet and too shallow. reminds me of some too-young men I've known....
