Today, I'm feeling Olympic (Part 3)
You may have gathered from my latest posts that it has been an emotional rollercoaster of a week. Personal reasons which, for the present moment will remain tucked away deep in the blog safe.
So far my life has been like a safe, middle-of-the-road black and white series of movies, some with a happy ending and others with a cliffhanger finish...
One episode followed the other in much the same way as the old Carry On series, with ineluctable monotony, year on year. Some years the movie made the Oscars and others it went straight to video.
Cut!
I have now decided to go full blownTechnicolour, scrap the script and just improvise until an interesting thread develops...
...maybe on the lines of The Sound of Music, my favourite feel-good film...

That's the spirit! I've been moving along those lines myself. I am trying really hard to just go for it.
At the risk of having everybody saying you're insane and wanting to place you in a straight jacket... you can simply have a major plan running in the background but whenever you feel like it just follow your heart even if it leads you astray from the masterplan.
The good thing about it is that we keep the big goals and yet we satisfy our more whimsical desires.
Mary, we're all afraid of change and that's why we often vegetate and find hard to let go...
DC, I get exactly what you mean! I shall try to do just that. Thanks.
Wendy, that's really inspiring! Love it! Thanks.
Go for it and good luck. Its too easy to spend life preparing for life! live and be happy.
Here here to Lettuce. Life is not a rehearsal. If you miss and act it won't be repeated. (another cliche - but it's a good one)
i meant 'an' act. God I should proof read my writing.
Lettuce and Rambler, thank you!
Sometimes it takes a sign, a breeze, whatever... to smack us in the face and remind us that we have to seize the day before the day ceases...
And yep, I have closed my eyes and dived into the rest of my life...
I'm thinking hard of whiskers on kittens, brown paper packages tied up with string, cheese, all my favourite things, and sending those thoughts very firmly in your direction xx
Good for you.
I loathe The Sound of Music though. It's just not.
I think one should always feel 16 going on 17...
In my dreams!!
Oh whoops, I said I wouldn't leave any more comments like that. Last one.
hmm... i dont know what that thing in the blog safe is... but sometimes its ok to have series that are kinda predictable... some you just want to watch over and over again and eventhough you laugh in all the places you're supposed to laugh its still funny every time....
or yeah... sometimes you want the cliffhanger finish...
I will have that music in my head for the rest of the evening... LOL!
Take care!
Cherrybabe, you're a rock, mate! Ta! XX
Kitty, in my dreams, too! Thanks.
Tat, 16 forever! Yep!
Trac, what's that? You don't like the Sound of Music?
Ale, most series become predictable and that's why they're axed...
Merci, Princesse!
Life in technicolour! How exciting/scary/radical. We're all rooting for you.
Wizard of Oz. Surely, Trac?
Where are you cream? Not still watching "The Sound of Music" surely?
Musicals are torture. Worse than feet and farts.
go for it, Cream. sounds like things are feeling stale..... time for change?
it'll probably be a wild ride, but that SO beats coasting...
How do you solve a problem like Ma-ri-a?
Climb every moun-tain!
Ei-del-weiss...
So long farewell auf wiedersehen good-bye...
I am sixteen going on seventeen..I have a nazi boy-friend.
Fellas I meet, they tell me I'm sweet....HEY!
