Easter Monday Afternoon...

Well I got off my butt and phoned Karen's daughter to see if we could take Evie and Alex out for the day.
Evie insisted on bringing along her Bratz CD...Three hours of Thump-thump-thump... And screeching...

We got in the car and hit the Bank Holiday traffic jams...

Daft people climbing Roseberry Topping (famous hill in Cleveland).

Alex psyching me up with his own version of Purple Fiction. We had some average Pub food:(...

Helmsley (North Yorkshire Market town). The backstreet is very serene and quiet...

...But the town square usually gets invaded by daytrippers and bikers. All in good humour...

I bought these two well-known figures for a couple of pounds. "What windmills?"

Evie posing as usual!

Lazy evening...

Been meaning to drop in for ages, - this has finally got me here: you MUSTNT miss Dr. Who this week. First episode was a bit pants in places, to be honest, but next week's looks fairly fab, with werewolves included.
Went to bed early rather than watching Peter Kay, being v.v. tired - didn't sleep well, I clearly made the wrong decision.

Lovely pics., and beautiful children.

KG, when I snapped Roseberry Topping, I honestly thought of you cos you mentioned it in one of your posts a long time ago!

Lettuce, glad you dropped in! I shall try and tape it this weekend! Peter Kay was fab especially the outakes!

Tat, just bragging! Shows you that I'm but an amateur! Usually after a couple of rounds of both, "Ah, bugger the boules, let's just get drunk!"

Iluvnyc, great scenery within 10 minutes of us! And, yes very interesting trip with the Bratzz!

Idahl, Evie said she was going to write back but she's busy revising for her Sats!
The new Dr Who is quite a hit with the ladies, Radio Five Live was saying this afternoon.

Wendy, *smiles*
Still a daft student after all these years!
That side of me is only just under the surface! It pops up regularly to remind me to make every minute count...

Just popped back to check out the photo of your wooden statues and yes...it is them. Oh in case you think I'm muttering on about nothing, I'm spending my evening reading your backwards - from the beginning...and I came across a post on windmills and wind power and your cartoon of these two lads...so I cam back to have another look. Best get back to November then...

Gigi, hasn't our Evie grown up since your birthday in December! Actually for the drawing I'd used a photo of when she was 8.

Wendy, you must be a glutton for punishment! I bet you'll fall asleep halfway!
I was amazed to find Don Quixote and Sancho in Helmsley of all places!

oh just commenting on above philosofies- yeah- freud would agree- everything we do stems from a selfish desire- (which is not a bad thing, since whats wrong with pleasing others so that we inturn are pleased ourselves..)
