I broke a bright yellow plate this morning - I am so happy! I have now lovingly added it to the 5 gal bucket of broken crockery that I keep, waiting for the day when I can use it for a mosaic project.....

Great photo... friend of mine big into mosaics... he designed and made them for his kitchen.. eating at his place is quite a treat!!! It's hard to eat when you just want to explore & look for secrets between the grout!

Viking, you are great! Senor Gaudi will be offended that I copied him!

Brian, I'm sure he had his own tile-breakers! The edging tiles are beautiful!

Annie, for a regular Barcelona visitor, I am surprised you haven't visited Guell Park! Make sure you don't miss it next time!

Hayden, lots of wrought iron everywhere and very ornate too! But I am biased towards broken tiles! Keep your broken crockery and decorate a wall for a start!

WM, muchas gracias! Dos semanas en Espana! Dos noches en Barcelona! Muy interesante!

Lee, get started and decorate your restaurant with mosaics! They are so interesting and you can take your time!

KG, I'd love to visit NY one day!

Val, your artist side would love a visit to Barcelona!

Christine (Penny!)we did have a great time with our two friends. Great birthday party!

Jody, just shoot and I will try to answer your queries asap!

This is absolutely amazing. I haven't seen much mosaic in my life, only in Australia, and the photos of your beautiful work, and now this stunning work here.

Gigi, when I did my first mosaic about 8 years ago, I had no idea how to start. I did a few more in the restaurants. Every new one is easier and looks better than the last! There are so many really good mosaic artists around the world, I am just an amateur compared to them. Just check out cyberspace!

Thanks Carla! My shoulder is getting better but some people tell me that they've had a trapped nerve for years, it makes me shiver! Yes, we saw some great places. Nice to be back!
