After the turkey....

That "After turkey" feeling on Christmas Day!
I am sure I am not the only one it happens to!

I usually cook most of the dinner, Karen and family will do the washing up.
I will sit on my chair, maybe catch our Liz's royal speech (4 or 5 times in thirty years!) and then drift off into a little contented siesta... Ahhhh, that feeling!

(By the way, I am not trying to break a record with this intense blogging, it's just that within the next few weeks, I will be so busy with the Tapas Bar that I may not be able to post a letter let alone a drawing or a story! So, I am taking advantage of the calm before the storm...)

So it is true what Vit said, that all you men sit and slumber in yer sofas, haha.

Doesn't happen here, the men love to TALK.

Gigi, I have two excuses...
One is the cooking and two is the fact that, as a Mediterranean, I would be useless without his siesta...

So what do Guyanan men do while the wives are slaving over a hot stove?

Stir, stir, stir...

Yes! We are all enjoying your intense blogging...and the drawings have been great. What will we do when you are too busy to tell us a story? As for us, the Christmas dinner is the same as at Thanksgiving. My Dad makes the best dressing ever!Everyone makes a dish or two, and we all meet at my parents, in the house I grew up in.It is very crowded and loud, and i love it!

Do you have a dog like that Cream? It looks like a Jack Russell...
And also, can you reveal the name of your tapas restaurant?

Val, you were right. Drawing and blogging takes my mind off business!

Penny, my siesta is essential! I used to hate having to shut up between 1 and 3pm when I was a kid but nowadays, I couldn't do without it!

Janet, I have a feeling that even when I get really busy, I'll be able to snatch a couple of minutes here and there! Xmas day is for families and it's great!

Viking, yes Charades...or Pictionnary...

Annie, we don't have a dog because I don't have time for one. I believe that dog owners have to dedicate time for their pets.
Casa del Mar is the name.
Hopefully opening mid-january.

With all this intense blogging you'll have made such strong blogging muscles that you'll find it easy to carry on despite having no time and too much else to do... well maybe...

I've always wondered what the dog was thinking on Christmas day...

Hobbes, you're too busy to drop off to sleep after Christmas dinner!

Caroline, I must learn to type faster! That may be the answer!
Yes, I am sure that all dogs will be thinking the same thing on Christmas afternoon!

Iluvnyc, Enjoy being away!
I celebrate anything as long as there is good food, good wine and good people around me!
Religion doesn't even get a mention!

yes quite right cream, dogs are furry children! They thrive on routine. Rat loves Christmas! we fill his stocking with babies and toys and goodies. He gets so excited and acts just like a little child. It is the highlight of Christmas for me!

Thanks, Hayden. Enjoy your Christmas.

Rachelle, thanks for visiting! I can assure I have never owned a purple sofa. Don't even know where it came from!
