Don't worry about a thing...
Just imagine how a young fan felt about going to see BobMarley live...
I have never been to any of his concerts but every time I watch him on the telly, I feel I am there!
"No woman, no cry." in Paris...
I discovered Bob and Raggae in 1976 and fell in love!
And he died too early!
What's your favourite Raggae song?

there are so many how can you chose?
I got to see him live at the Starlight Amphittheatre in the Hollywood Hills about 25 years ago we drank wine from Bota Bags and passed around a lot of Doobs. It was great! The thing that I will never forget about Bob was he danced like he was posesseed! I don't know how else to put it, I have never seen anything like him and probably never will... Cream I love your pictures and blog! You have a wonderful sense of humour and you write wonderful stories.
Val, you are lucky! And he did dance as if he were possessed! It's like the music went through him!
Ah, "Is this love?" Isis! What a cool love song!
Ale, you have to choose the one that reminds you of something amazing! That will be your favourite!
'money in my pocket' by dennis brown - and a lot of bob marley, naturally :)
tough question. I guess it is Bob's "Duppy Conqueror" - makes me feel happy every time I hear it.
I was reading a little more of your blog while I was waiting for the paint to finish drying and I read the bit about tipping. Forgive me for including it on your Bob Marley space but I must say that in America most waiters and waitresses make minimum wage and the tips are everything to them. Most people now tip 15-20% and the waiters work their tush off for it. Here tip stands for:
To Insure Prompt Service. That is what it is based on. Their attentiveness to your needs and making sure all is well. I worked at many a restaurant in my younger days and loved it! It teaches you how to count out change (Kids need calculators now!) and all kinds of important tasks. I digress...
ok ok... i confess- i do like -no woman no cry- but its because this BEAUTIFUL brasilian boy sang it and played the guitar as we sat by the pool on a starry night! ;) ahhh... he was SO beautiful-- makes me CRY everytime i think about it... hahahaha- -no woman no cry- has a different kinda meaning for me-
ps: is your name "cream" because that's the name for "cofee" in paris???
Z, I haven's heard that one! I will check it out!
"So don't try to cold me up on this bridge, now!" Annie. Great choice!
Val, they are lucky to get 15-20%!
Ale, "No woman, no cry!" My favourite too. Aren't Brazilian nuts?
Cafe Creme? No, it is much simpler than that, really. One day, I will tell you!
Oh, how can I choose from the hundreds of songs? I can only go by singers.
There's Bob [as he's called here]; there's Lucky Dube [from Africa] and Peter Tosh and Jimmy Cliff and UB 40 and...I can just go on and on...
And Steel Pulse and Jacob Miller [who died long ago]...
GG, I saw Lucky Dube at the Royal Albert Hall a few years ago! Great! UB40,"Red, Red Wine!" Ahhhh!
Pennylane, the best way to move to raggae is when you're half-cut and you let your body do the talking...
A world of your own...
